The Power Team

Amelia started playing soccer and had her first game this Saturday, which they won. She plays for The Power Team and guess who came up with that name??? Amelia of course! At our parent meeting we decided to let the kids come up with the name. When I told Amelia about it she wanted the name to be the Power Puff Girls but I explained to her that boys would be on the team so she settled on The Power Team. When the team got together and the team Mom asked for suggestions Amelia was the first to blurt out hers. There werr 3 other suggestions and the one with the loudest screams got picked. Amelia immediately started chanting over and over " THE POWER TEAM, THE POWER TEAM" so of course all the other kids joined in. The team Mom settled them down and called out The Power Team and Amelia screamed at the top of her lungs and the rest of the team joined in. She did not make a peep for the other names and no one else did either. So her team name got picked. When I was watching all this unfold I could not help but realize that the girl can be just like me at times. God help her!

I thought Amelia would hate all the running but she does not. She is pretty aggressive and always goes after the ball and pays attention. Her good friend Kendall is on her team so Amelia is very happy about that. Kendall is an excellent goalie. So far we are off to a good start. The only problem we have is trying to keep Elliott off the field. He is ready to play.

Elliott Skateboarding

Elliott loves everything that his Daddy loves so it should not surprise me that he wants to ride on skateboards. Frank has brought out his old skateboard a couple of times and rode it around while Elliott watches. The other night Elliott found a toy skateboard (probably about 1 foot long) and the next thing I know he is standing on it with one foot trying to push off. I took it away and he threw a fit. I decided to give it back to him to see what he would do. It did not take him long to figure out how to pop it up with one foot and then put his other foot on it to get it down and balance on it. He did this all night long and then went to bed clutching onto it for dear life. Once he was asleep I buried it deep in drawer. He can wait a little longer to be a skater, Mama is not ready for this yet.

Elliott's 2 year old Pictures

Elliott is 2 and we could not be happier with the wild and crazy little man we are raising. He is a typical little boy that is full of energy and is constantly on the go and trying to figure out how he can break a bone.

Elliott's favorite things to do are play guitar, mess up anything his sister is playing with and play ball (and I mean any kind of ball, basketball, soccer, baseball and just throwing balls all over the house). He is desperately trying to figure out how to ride a skateboard and big bike and loves jumping on his mini trampoline. He has a very funny personality and the most mischievous smile there is.

Elliott loves his Mommy, Daddy and Sister to pieces. He is nuts about his Grandma Rosie, Grandpa and Nana. His Cousin Daniel is the only boy he will hug and he worships his Uncle Eric. Amelia is his best friend and can make him laugh like no other. He is a very sweet loving little boy and although he is wild and crazy during the day, he still lets me love and cuddle him every night. We all just adore him and are thankful to all of our friends and family that are helping to raise him into a good little man. Happy Birthday Elliott (aka, Bouchie, T'Bouchie, Boo Boo, Papa and Daddy). We love you!

Elliott's 2nd Birthday Party

On Sunday, March 1st Elliott turned 2! We had his party at Dynamoze and everyone had a blast. Elliott loved riding on the bikes with his Daddy and he was the last one to leave the party. We had to drag him out of there.

Elliott did a great job blowing the candles out of his cake after he blew them out he said "I did it!" he was very proud of himself.

All of Elliott's friends and family came to celebrate with him. It was a very special day that we were happy to share with everyone. Elliott is so fortunate to have so many wonderful people in his life. Happy 2nd Birthday Elliott, we love you!

Amelia's the Cowgirl and Elliott the Rocker

Amelia's school had a western dance in honor of the rodeo. The kids all put on their western wear and tore up the dance floor. The kids all had a good time. We have to do this while we can because in 10 short years there is no way most of these kids would dress up in western wear and dance around for their parents amusement.

Elliott did not get to western dance but he rocks out every night with his Daddy on his guitar. He is our little rock star!
